Citeline was designed for bibtex data (i.e. for bibliographic citations)
so it could work for patent data if you can map that into bibtex.
But you might want to explore using Exhibit
http://www.simile-widgets.org/exhibit/
which is part of the Citeline system, and you can customize
it exactly for patent data.
