Dear All

We are pleased to announce that the first beta release of
ModelJEB, the Java Edition BDB back-end for Jena models, is
now available from the Jena release page at:

https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=40417

Look for modelJEB-1.0beta.zip. Download and read the readme(s).
You need Jena 2.2beta to use this contrib package.

ModelJEB allows Jena models to be stored in JE BDB databases.
Hence they are persistent, incrementally updatable, stored
in your local file system, and hence do not need database
servers or administrators to be involved.

This is a BETA release, for experimentation and evaluation.
Don't rely on it, don't expect it to be feature complete, and
don't expect it to be fully integrated into the Jena command-
line classes yet. Work is proceeding, and we seek your
(constructive) comments.

Happy New Year.
