There are two ways to add a new OpenID to Appalachian's management: by browsing to your OpenID page directly, or manually.

Browsing

Alternatively, you can simply browse to your OpenID page. If you've verified that you can login with it, simply left-click on the OpenID icon in your status bar, which will have changed to reflect the availability of a new OpenID:

and the Add OpenID dialog will be opened with your OpenID URL and ID Server URL fields pre-filled (and deactivated). Give it a usage, click OK, and you've added a new OpenID.

For those of you closer to the bleeding edge of OpenID development, Appalachian does not yet understand XRDS / Yadis discovery.

Manually

You can right-click on the OpenID icon in your status bar or go to the Tools menu and, in both, locate the Manage OpenIDs... item.

or

Next, select the Add OpenID button in the upper right corner.

This will bring up a dialog with the OpenID URL, ID Server URL, and General use fields. All three are required.

Click "Save OpenID", and a new OpenID should appear in the ID Manager window.

Next

Now that you've added an OpenID, you can try using it to login.
