Firefox 3 Support

Q: When will Appalachian support "secure updates" such that it may be enabled or installed in Firefox 3?

Idea

Q: How does this implementation compare to the Identity Manager proposal? --damnian 12:42, 17 May 2007 (EDT)

A: Based on a quick read-through: this extension doesn't require any participation on the RP's part, relying instead on user's being aware of when to use Appalachian. As I would disagree with your assertion that a redirect is the only point at which phishing may occur, Appalachian is much more strident in its UI response about what to do when anything other than the correct redirect occurs. I am personally of the opinion that it's too difficult to read into what the OP does after you land there, so Appalachian bows out after the OP comparison. The OpenID spec says nothing (at least, I think it says nothing) that truly assists machine detection of individual steps. But if someone can prove otherwise and send in a patch, I'll take it. ryanlee 15:02, 17 May 2007 (EDT)

+ Your read-through was too quick... Identity Manager would require zero participation on both the OP's and the RP's part, as well as no user awareness. --damnian 15:37, 17 May 2007 (EDT)
