separating latlng content in the json file

what is the advantage of putting the latlng information into separate fields in the json file and referencing the original item through the 'id' property? If someone is creating their data from a google spreadsheet file, then it seems like it could get confusing to store the data this way. -Dvmorris 08:02, 10 December 2006 (EST)

Adding a small google map to a lens view

Is there a way to add a small map to a lens template, that shows a zoomed in view of one item?

Basically I would like each item to have it's own permanent page according to a lens template that has a place for the label, a big image, a zoomed in google map next to the image, and then all other relevant info below... something like this:
