I'm not advocating forcing technology decisions. I'm advocating
working collaboratively with these communities in implement working
solutions based on semantic web concepts. You won't be able to get
Drupal or Wordpress to implement an RDF object store any time soon
probably but you could implement RDF import / export and an internal
data structure that mimics some of the object store functionality.
What this would buy you is a deployed real-world semantic web
technology solution built on top of a widely used and support web-
application product.

This might have something to do with the fact that you work for a
corporate research lab and I scramble to get technology in the hands
of community organizers for a living :)
